FIC is hiring a Social Media Coordinator
The FIC is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to manage FIC’s social media presence across various platforms. This position is expected to create engaging content, schedule posts, monitor audience interactions, analyze performance metrics, and stay updated on the latest social media trends. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of different social media platforms are required. Excellent design skills are not required but will be highly considered.

Social Media Coordinator Job Description
Application Deadline: January 5, 2025
Commitment: 35 hours/month
Compensation: $20/hr, contractor position
Supervision: Reports to Communications Director, works with Programs Coordinator
Location: Remote position, candidates must be available during North American working hours to accommodate staff meetings and virtual offerings.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Drafts, designs and writes copy for posts, stories and reels for Facebook and Instagram (eventually LinkedIn)
- Designs social media graphics
- Establishes relationships with relevant influencers in the IC movement
- Outreach with partners/communities on social media
- Responds to messages and comments through social media
- Stays on social media trends to keep FIC current
- Researches new platforms where FIC can be featured, ie: TikTok
- Tracks key metrics like reach, impressions, engagement, and conversions to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Analyzes audience demographics and behavior to tailor content accordingly
- Supports with copy for events, programs, and newsletter consistent with the FIC’s brand voice
- Works closely with Communications Director to:
- Support the creation of social media and marketing strategies
- Create annual and quarterly communications calendar
- Support greater needs of marketing & communications
- Generate new designs for marketing campaigns
- Promote events, courses and campaigns
Additional Required Skills:
- Familiarity with video editing, Zoom, Canva, Slack, Facebook Ads, YouTube, and Google Docs
- Understanding of MailChimp, WordPress, Google Ads is a plus
- Excellent communication skills

- Strong teamwork ability
- Analytical skills to interpret data
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software
- Understanding and experience with intentional communities
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and Ads is a plus
