Join family therapist, social architect and communitarian Jessica Plancich Shinners to explore co-parenting in community.

About the event

Parenting styles have changed dramatically over the course of history. Many of the things that were important 50, 100, even 1,000 years ago have evolved to be very different from what our children need today. With this in mind, it seems everyone has the “right” way to raise their child. What happens when we intersect multiple parenting styles that vary in skills, disciplines, and educational preferences?

You get the reality of raising children in community. Where there are these challenges, you find opportunities for growth. You can resolve co-parenting conflict and find peace amongst so many differing views of raising a child with good communication and the right tools to succeed. Taking the weight off of being the sole person responsible for every single idea and the way to implement it is monumental. What you share with your community could be of great value, and who knows, you may just pick up something along the way.

Join us for the Co-Parenting in Community workshop to discover how you can share the responsibility of raising children and make the work of being a co-parent a deeply spiritual and fulfilling practice.

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • explore parenting styles and family dynamics
  • discover tools for finding parental intersectionality
  • learn how to resolve co-parenting conflict
  • learn how to navigate taboo topics
