Join multi-intentional community founder and author Yana Ludwig for a workshop on best practices in membership & recruitment.
About the event
Having a membership selection process is critical to long term community viability and mission fulfilment. In this session, Yana Ludwig will provide you with detailed guidance for how to create a seamless and transparent process for both your community and potential members.
Yana will cover membership criteria and timelines, while addressing those sticky questions about whether having a process is inappropriate exclusivity or just smart community building. She will also cover the necessary basics of recruitment practices.
(This is also a great chance to ask questions if you’ve read Yana’s book Building Belonging and need to know more for your group!)
In this workshop, you’ll:
- understand the importance of a transparent process for joining your community
- learn how to balance the community’s mission with potential member’s interests
- get guidance on specific membership mechanisms that can increase your chances of a healthy social environment
- learn about potential pitfalls and how to avoid them
- walk away with a template to get started for your own group’s membership process
