We are a small artsy urban community sharing a large (1/3 acre) and diverse urban property.
We are a losely knit free thinking community allowing as much privacy as needed to each party and sharing our time, resources and spaces and whenever we feel so inclined. We are drama free, kind and considerate with each other and occasionally share meals or stage events together.

We keep some chickens and tend to the land. Until now we have chosen to have no other pets on the property and this is a topic open for consideration.  There is plenty of space to garden. We’ve also tried growing mushrooms and could use your help with the yard and the garden.

It is a private property and I am the only owner. I take your suggestions and your needs into consideration as best as possible when making decisions.

There are two separate living units on the property plus a separate guest bedroom.
A young couple is living in the smaller back house. I am a part time resident and I occupy a small separate bedroom out in the garden sharing the kitchen and the bathroom with the big house (that will be YOU). I am here for a few months during the summer addressing property repairs and upgrades as needed and reconnecting with family and friends.
The large 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house built in 1986 is available for rent starting September 1st.
This beautiful main (big) house is an upgraded two story oldie with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bath. It has hardwood floors, AC, central heat and a woodburning stove. It is located very close to downtown Salem and there are several schools nearby.
It is currently available for rent. The rent is $2200/ month and does not include electric, gas and internet costs. I am willing to reduce rent to $1900/month for a 20 hour/month commitment to work.

The well equipped workshop, the large garden, the laundry, the Sauna and the outdoor tub are shared between all occupants.
It is important to me to share this property with appreciative, happy folks who are capable, independent, financially and emotionally stable and in good health.
