I’ve been working with groups for the past 15 years to establish robust and responsive legal structures for intentional communities of various scales and backgrounds and helping people navigate the complex and nuanced process of living and stewarding shared spaces. I work with groups of a variety of sizes, backgrounds, financial means, and life stage development. There is no cookie cutter community, and I take great pride in offering personalized and customized solutions to my clients.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona, a Juris Doctor and a Masters of Study in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School, a mediation certificate from the Center for Understanding in Conflict, and advanced facilitation training from Synectics LLC.

My legal practice has focused on transactional law, non-profit law, and community law since 2006, with a bulk of my practice focused on communities for the past five years. I also have extensive mediation experience in both individual and group settings. I have facilitated strategic planning and other processes for groups in both the private and public sectors. I am a co-founder of The Oak Granary, an environmental education non-profit in Potter Valley, California.

Based in Northern California, I provide a full suite of legal services to clients in California as well as consultation, facilitation, and mediation services to individuals, businesses, communities, and non-profits around the world. I currently work with clients across the US, Canada, and Latin America.
