Namaste, if you are looking to have an experience with a thriving Intentional Community, this isn’t it. However as an alternative, I am offering an opportunity to rent a room to the right person to practice skills in co-operative living while sharing in growing a permaculture food forest and organic garden. (Including cooking / eating / food preservation) The room for rent can also serve as an introduction to relocating to the beautiful wild and scenic area of The Flathead Valley in NW. Montana. (This property is located only 10 miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park.). There are many opportunities for jobs, especially during the tourist season. (The hiring season begins in March and last until the end of October.)
The room is furnished 12 x 12, and has a door to a large shared bathroom with one other (myself -a 46 year old liberal leaning veteran on disability and occasionally medical marijuana.). $500 includes utilities (except 1/2 of high speed WiFi about $22.50) There is a happy dog, named Gypsie who shares the house. She is 1 1/2 yrs. old 1/2 Airedale Terrier 1/2 Golden Retriever and loves going for walks or runs or hikes whatever the occasion.
The recreational activities are boundless in this area of Montana. You can enjoy it all, even a ski resort at Big Mountain in Whitefish MT. only 18 miles away with mountain biking in the summer season. (Your own vehicle is recommended but not necessary.)
The city water in Martin City is literally the best I have ever tasted (even better than most store bought bottled water) and the air quality is the same.
There is no zoning in the county in which I live which means property owners need no building permits to meet specified codes for cabins or sustainable self-reliant dwellings you may choose to build. (The only other place in the Nation that I have heard of ‘no zoning’ is in West Texas.)
It is a nature lovers paradise and wonderful community of people from all over the world who live here. Farmers markets, fairs and festivals all spring, summer and autumn long.
Please reply with something about yourself in an email. (I am looking for honesty here to make a suitable fit for the situation)
Thnx for reading and all the best to you wherever your journey in life should take you. In kind regards, JT (Jon Tyler)
