Intentional Communities Panel: Sharing Resources
February 7, 2019 @ 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM CST , Brooklyn, NY Event Website
In the process of sharing a house you share much more than just the roof over your head. You share a space that shapes you. What do you offer and what do you receive? How do you build a home that you’re proud to belong to? Whether it’s a commune and their CSA or a loft with equitable rent, each community shapes their particular financial structure and communal resource contributions to fit their values.
Join us Thursday, February 7 at HACIENDA Studio (Bushwick, Brooklyn) for a panelist discussion of the rewards and challenges of shared resources in intentional communities. Founders, community members, and researchers will discuss their history and experiences on questions about sharing. What do communities share universally? What resources aren’t shared? And how do they do it? Come with questions, enter the raffle, and stick around for a BYOB post-panel social hour.
