Feedback on the NICA ONLINE Vision Scope version 1.0 made it clear that helping to grow an online community of NW communitarians was a priority. This section requires considerable further development, as ideas from the Project Ideas page are pulled together into a coherent vision on this page.
Today, NW Communitarians have a loosely organized virtual community which is supported by a decentralized set of web sites (of the passive, information-publishing variety), many 1-to-1 emails, listservs, meetup groups, and presumably other, unknown information services, e.g. Yahoo groups, etc. The ease with which any interest user can establish these communication channels means that many IC-specific services have been created and then abandoned.
NICA ONLINE will make sense of the current environment and then work to optimize it. Some major areas to explore include:
Foster NW Communitarian one-to-one connections (on and off-line)
Support more effective NW Communitarian one-to-many connections (on and off-line)
